Yesterday, I felt little Sprout move inside me. For the past several weeks, people have been asking me if I could feel the baby move. I was feeling a lot of different things but it seemed so vague. I just couldn’t tell you for sure that it was the baby.
I laid in bed at night, just concentrating and trying to feel the baby, but no such luck. If I felt something, I just couldn’t guarantee it was anything note worthy.
Then yesterday, while I was sitting at my desk at work, I felt it. It was unmistakable. It almost felt like little sprout did a somersault and tickled my insides all the way around. Sprout did it a couple more times throughout the day and once this morning.
I love it. I love knowing my baby is there, alive and moving. Thank you, God. Thank you so much for blessing us with the most beautiful gift I’ve ever received.
I come home to find this lovely gift sitting on the table and waiting for me:

My hubby rocks!
Well, it has been a long time since I’ve done my own meme. It’s been pretty hard since I haven’t been putting up questions…but I finally managed to get one up. In the spirit of halloween, I want to offer up my response:
Nothing quite like tying on a good 2-hour nap and then not being able to sleep.
We went in for our monthly visit and we got to hear the baby’s heart beat for the very first time. It wasn’t easy, let me tell you! The doc would get it and Sprout would take off. The doc would get it again and Sprout would take off once again. The doc even said at one point with the slightest hint of frustration…”Your baby needs to learn to sit still.” She must have tired Sprout eventually and she was able to get a good read. 156 beats/minute, probably from all that activity. Doc said that was normal though. Anywhere between 120-160 beats/minute is good.
I’m anxious for the 11/19 visit. We get another ultrasound and we may be able to find out whether Sprout is a little boy or little girl!
Today on the the calendar it says:
|
Limb movements become coordinated and head is now erect. Eyes are now more forward, rather than to the side of head. Slow eye movements begin.

I was also reading on one of my newsletters that the baby is going to double in length and weight over the next couple of weeks. WOW!
If you’ve checked out my Baby Registries than you know, I’ve gone crazy for Winnie the Pooh! My first Pooh purchase arrived today. I’m so dang excited.

The hubby and I went out for lunch and after he was done eating, he was just staring at me. So, I asked, “What?”…
He said, “You know how Tigger has the prettiest eyes of all cats?”
I said, “Yeah…”
He said, “Well, your eyes are like that of all people.”
Alright, maybe it is just because I’m pregnant, but that brought tears to my eyes, it was so sweet. My handsome husband is the greatest!
My husband and I just wrapped up a wonderful 4-day weekend. It was great! We didn’t really go anywhere, we didn’t have a schedule to follow…it was just a lot of relaxing and spending time with each other. I absolutely adore my hubby. I can’t think of any place I’d rather be than just “with him”.
Thanks for an awesome, long weekend, Baby!
