Since I’ve been so delinquent about getting new pictures of Gabe posted to the gallery, let me thanks Firebrand for posting this to her gallery!

Yes, you read that title right. This post is about my sweet, baby girl. Thirteen years ago, I was given a little Yorkshire Terrier, whose name was Chelsey May. I didn’t like the name Chelsey…for silly reasons (As a child I knew a mean, little girl named Chelsey). So, I changed her name to Taz-Cee Mae. Taz-Cee wasn’t quite a year old when I got her, but she was a very special pup.

I was bit by a cleaning/organizing bug this weekend. Together, the hubby and I cleaned and reorganized the entire computer room. You see, the computer tends to be a catch all since the door can easily be closed to hide it from the rest of the world. With our technolust for the latest gadgets and computer equipment and my Avon, there basically wasn’t any space not covered with junk.
We basically took a weekend off, since it was Father’s Day weekend and my husband is anti-social. What better gift than a weekend to enjoy…just the three of us? I must admit, I really enjoyed the downtime. Saturday we just spent the day at home and Sunday we went to see a movie while my Mom watched Gabriel. It was nice to have some time out of the house with just the two of us, too. In the past whenever we lined up a sitter for Gabe, it was because we had a social function with others. While I enjoy being social, it was nice to have a date with just my hubby and I. Father’s day needs to happen more often.
For many years, all I wanted was a family. I didn’t just want any family. It was so important to me that the man I took that journey with would be a good husband…but more importantly a wonderful Dad. The day that I found out that I was pregnant, I knew that not only was I starting that family I always dreamed of, but I had that wonderful husband that was going to be a wonderful Dad. When I saw our child in his arms for the first time and the joy that filled his tired eyes, it was proof positive that my dreams came true.
Thank you so much, My Love. Thank you for being a wonderful, supportive, and kind husband. Thank you for having faith that our family would happen when and how it should. Thank you for giving me our beautiful son. Thank you for being such a wonderful and involved Father. Thank you for making my dreams come true.
Happy First Father’s Day, Baby!
I spotted this quiz over at Firebrand’s and since I’ve seen the RHPS 100+ times, I thought I’d go ahead and take the quiz. I don’t think it is very accurate, but it was kind of fun. Warning, true to Rocky Horror form, it is in bad taste.
